**Please note the following important information for correct use. This information is also explained in the user manual**

The Parent unit needs to be charged for 14 hours uninterrupted before use (as in turning it on)
Only turn the Nursery unit on, AFTER this has been done. If you turn the Nursery unit on, and also have the Parent Unit on they begin to �speak� to each other and the charging of the Parent unit will stop
The 14hrs of charging will give the Parent unit batteries full charge and ensure the maximum 'life' of the batteries
Failure to charge the rechargeable batteries in the Parent unit correctly is NOT covered by the warranty
Never place standard/non-rechargeable batteries in the Parent unit - if the unit is then put back on the charger base, these standard batteries will be destroyed instantly. This will be evidenced by white powder or 'brown gunk' within the unit. This damage is not covered by the warranty.

Great unit, we brought brand new and charged fully and it starts beeping low battery at about 5 in the morning. The FAQ on their site seems to suggest that batteries are an issue also. Wouldnt be a problem if the charger unit is next to the bed, but given ours spend half life downstairs int he lounge and the other half upstairs next to bed, its a lose lose situation

Bought the Oricom Secure 200. Very pleased with it on the whole - it's sensitive in picking up sounds. Useful to be able to find out what the temperature is in the bedroom. We find the lullabies good too (and I'm fussy when it comes to those sorts of things!). On the not so great side...we charged the batteries in the parent unit as instructed, but found that the battery life in the parent unit isn't very long (needs recharging most days - and we only really use it for a maybe 4-5 hours max per day).
